NRSWA Training (New Roads and Street Works) is necessary for any person who may or will be involved in working on or adjacent to the public highways as defined by regulations for the New Roads & Street Works act 1991. At VMR Training LTD, we offer the full range of New Road & Streetworks courses. Full 5 day courses and 2 Day Refresher courses for both Operatives and Supervisors. We also offer 1 Day courses for either Signing, Lighting & Guarding (SLG) or Cable Avoidance (Cat & Genny.)

NEW ROADS & STREETWORKS TRAINING COURSES
FULL 5 DAY COURSE FOR EITHER OPERATIVES (WORKING) OR SUPERVISORS (MONITORING)

This course involves the procedures and guidelines for working on – or monitoring the work on roads and highways. The training and qualifications are aimed at those who are either employed or contracted to local authorities, utilities companies or contractors and are required to carry out the work or the monitoring of the work on roads, highways and footpaths. It is through our range of qualified training and competence-based assessment that this course is achieved.
TWO DAY REFRESHER & RENEWAL TESTS – TUTOR & OPEN BOOK
£340.00 + VAT PER DELEGATE/COURSE. (based on 7 units)
This two-day refresher training and testing for the renewal of a NRSWA card is for delegates who require refresher training (theory only) before they attempt their tests. Our Street Works tutor will give general refresher knowledge and then will administer the test for that unit. All reference books are available during the refresher training and tests. Each refresher unit consists of a multi-choice exam consisting of 20 questions. The pass rate is 16/20. These unit exams are taken digitally on tablets and are automatically scores.
Costs can vary, depending on how many units are required. This is due to the fees for the unit certificates, which the awarding body charges individually per unit.
